Annual (yearly) vaccinations are no longer necessary!  According to the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), vaccinating every 3 years, maximum, is sufficient in most situations.  Most canine vaccines last from 7 to 15 years according to their study.  There is also a 3-year rabies vaccine available in Canada.
